Working in the nursing field gives many individuals opportunities to work with patients and to care for them in their time of need. Registered nurses provides these skills. A registered nurse is a nurse that has graduated from a nursing program with either an associate’s or a bachelor’s degree and has passed the National Council Licensure Examinations. Becoming a registered nurse is a successful career to have and will help benefit a person more in the future.
In order to become a registered nurse, the individual would have to have either an associate’s or a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing. Associate’s degree in nursing would typically take up to two years where as having a bachelor’s degree would only take up to four years. When having a bachelor’s degree in nursing it exposes individuals a wider range of nursing.
In this research paper the topics that will be covered are: the requirements on becoming a registered nurse, education and training, job responsibilities,the skills that it requires, working conditions, the salary and benefits, but most in importantly the outlook of a registered nurses career. The requirements to become a registered nurse is having a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing. It is required to work in the nursing field in a supervised place to gain practical experience. Also, the individual would have to pass the National Council Licensure Examination to become a registered nurse.
When having a bachelor’s degree in nursing individuals spend a gracious amount of time in clinical places, it gives the individual a chance to apply their knowledge. When going for a bachelor’s degree in nursing the program is divided into two parts. The first two years are mostly focused on anatomy, chemistry, nutrition, psychology, and fundamentals of nursing care. In the last two years of finishing the program, the individuals will gain instruction in nursing practice. The individual would also gain supervised clinical experience.
