The short narrative & # 8220 ; The Birds & # 8221 ; was written by Daphne du Maurrier and was filmed and

directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It has a really interesting and cliff-hanging secret plan. The short

narrative was good written and the movie was good played, both are really similar. Although,

they have a few differences the movie and short narrative have the same temper and subject.

Would the differences in the movie and the short narrative affect the suspenseful and

scaring secret plan?

Alfred Hitchcock did an outstanding occupation shooting the film fiting it with the short

narrative. In both the short narrative and movie flocks and flocks of chumps, redbreasts, and sparrows

articulation each other. This is a really uncommon, because different species of birds ne’er work

reciprocally. Besides, the narrative and the movie are both in the indistinguishable clime. It is cold and

chilly ; & # 8220 ; The land is frozen and it will be a black winter. & # 8221 ;

The clime gives both versions of the narrative an eerie or creepy feeling. Each version

has the chief character get oning up the Windowss to protect themselves from the

suicidal birds that try to interrupt the barriers in forepart of the Windowss. Anyone who

thought the birds would non assail are normally found dead with their eyes pecked

off. The movie and the narrative both have hapless terminations. Although they are dissimilar

terminations they are much alike in crudity and should has been revised with an improved

and more conventional stoping. Readers would wish to cognize what happens to the

characters and how or even if the struggle is resolved.

The short narrative and movie have differences, but none of these differences have truly

& lt ;< p>affected the secret plan, characters, or much of anything. The short story’s scene is merely

South of London, England, and is set during the period right after World War II. The movie

scene is located in Bodega Bay merely sixty stat mis north of San Francisco, and it is set in

the clip frame of the sixtiess. In the movie, a huffy adult female accused Melanie of conveying

& # 8220 ; evil & # 8221 ; and doing the calamity of the attacking birds. In the narrative the birds

attacked when the tide came in and in the movie the birds onslaught in brief intervals, over

and over. The characters are decidedly different in the two versions. The short narrative & # 8217 ; s

chief characters are a household: a hubby, married woman, and two kids. The movie & # 8217 ; s characters

are a adult female and a adult male, and the adult male & # 8217 ; s female parent and younger sister. Finally, there is no

existent stoping to the short narrative. The readers are merely left with the household in the house

fearing for their lives from the birds coming in and assailing. In the movie the characters

are able to steal out of the house during a quiet interval and drive off.

The short narrative and the movie have the same secret plans and the same struggle of adult male V.

adult male, adult male vs. nature, adult male vs. society, and adult male vs. the occult. In either version

of the narrative it could non be explained & # 8220 ; why the birds waited 154 million old ages to get down

assailing humans. & # 8221 ; Is Melanie or the budgerigars truly evil in the movie, or in the narrative is it

merely the black winter and tides? My penchant version would decidedly be the movie,

because at least you know the stoping, and it merely seemed more dramatic and

gratifying. The spectator can experience the characters & # 8217 ; true emotions and you can truly

sympathize with them. All together it is genuinely an gratifying narrative.
