My Graduation Speech Essay

To our jolly yet strict and much respected director, Rev. Fr. Ramoncito Manio Vicente; to our most dynamic principal, Mrs. Susana V. Edrosolo; to the ever patient and hardworking faculty members; to our beloved parents and guardians; to our relatives, friends, to my fellow graduates and school mates; ladies and gentlemen a gorgeous evening to all!!! 🙂 As we gather here tonight, we will witness the dream that was reached, the dream that is not the end but only the beginning of all the hardships, trials and obstacles that we have encountered. When this night ends, we will face a new tomorrow and will lead to the better future ahead.

This night marks the end of our arduous study for four years as high school students. Let’s go further like a game says, “Move on to the next level” which is a time to face a new phase of our lives, the tertiary level of education, being a college one. I would like to take this opportunity to thank first GOD our Father who gave me strength to accomplish well my task and for this wonderful gift of Him that I have. His Son Jesus Christ who always stays by my side and keeps me away from harm. His mother Mary for always granting my wishes whenever I called her and the Holy Spirit who enlightens me to become a better person than before. This event reminds me when I graduated as a valedictorian in elementary. A little bit nervous that time but I felt so much pressured today. Honestly, it is difficult to achieve one’s goal sans working hard.

As I have experienced, I came on loosing and I came on winning. When you have a skill then enhance it for you to grow your personality but if you don’t, you can’t achieve what you want. I prove to myself that perseverance is better than intelligence. I just want to acknowledge the people who had been part of my journey for four years of my adventurous studying in my Alma Mater, here in St.Anne Academy.

My teachers, for being our second mother, you’ve shared great good things not only on teaching inside the four corners of our classroom but also best friend to rely on most especially Mam De Padua. Thank you so much for inspiring me, for teaching me how to pass bravely in every trial that came on my way. Thank you for the good advice you offered that strengthens me. I will never forget the bonding that we’ve shared throughout this journey. I always say that you are my IDOL and I know that you know it :). Thank you for considering me as your eldest child that touched my heart with love.

I will miss you! Mam Razel, your being friendly in all your students inside and out of the school campus, that’s the best thing about you. Your unique personality truly says that you are not born yesterday :). Thank you for your kindness, and for being one who rides on me together in this journey.

Sir Joel, your being good in teaching Christian Living and always putting God in us makes me stronger that I know to myself that God is always there for me. Thank you for believing in my ability. Sir Nat, your being a graceful dancer makes me feel relax every time I am watching you.Thank you for being a good friend and for believing for what I have although you didn’t become one of my teachers :). Mam Mateo, my adviser, thank you for being a good example in each one of us. You’re being strict when it comes about my studies but still a friend, thank you for the long- lasting patience of yours. I know that you are happy right now because we are about to leave you, no more stress, no more worries, but after all this year I just want to thank you for being a part of our journey. My fellow graduates, this is it! We are finally here; it’s totally the time that we have been waiting for, our Graduation.

Although it is hard to speak and stand here in front of you, I have no choice. Guys, it’s over. Doing our home works, researches, projects, completing our requirements is finally over! Are we ready to face a new challenge in our lives? Being with you is such a pleasure, the laughter, arguments, misunderstanding, hanging out, and bonding that I will miss and don’t want to forget. I am proud to say that you are my classmates. For four years that we have completed, we saw the changes through being an immature one until we are said to be a mature person. It is nice to remember the things that happened in the past when we first met each other.

Time moved so freely and swiftly that we didn’t even notice after all these times, we are going to leave our Alma Mater. But when we are about to leave, let’s not forget and share the things that it taught us. To my friends and best friends, close or not, especially Nak (Jared) and Mahmhen (Allen), thank you for always keeping me happy. I will never forget you guys I hope that you’ll do the same. And for my one and only inspiration, you know who you are thank you so much for being supportive one :*.

Lastly, to my supportive family, I am now personally thanking you for all the help and advice that you have given me.To my mother, for being the father and mother for 14 years in our family, I don’t know how you carry out those things. How lucky are we to have a mother like you. You always find a way and solution in our problem. To my father, for 14 years that you didn’t spend your time with us as you family, I am thanking you for supporting our schooling. Thank you for not giving up.

This achievement of mine belongs to you. I am so lucky that you are here, my four siblings who graduated here celebrated their graduation day without you and now you are attending the special day in my life.To my Lola, thank you for being supportive when it comes to financial matters as well as Uncle Dondi.

Thank you for the advice that you repeatedly said. I know that you only want us to have a better life in the future. I am throwing these two words, I WILL! Leaving these words, “Do the best you can, think that you can and believe that you can” don’t lose your dream and make everyone be proud of you. Don’t disappoint someone that has a high expectation on you.

I am so happy that I have a complete happy family for the first time that happens tonight, on my Graduation Day. Congratulations everyone!
