I specializations, all completed with Straight A’s
I am happy to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr. Amar Zia Arslaan. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing him for more than four years, as a student in my Foundation of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence classes in his sophomore and junior year respectively at Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology.
Apart from that I supervised his practical sessions for the above-mentioned courses. In that time, I have had the opportunity to observe his interactions with his teachers and peers. I would like to unreservedly recommend him for the Master’s program at your prestigious university.I distinctly remember Amar as one of the most inquisitive, resourceful and ambitious students I have ever come across in my six years of teaching career. He has been a dedicated student who stands out amongst his peers due to his intuitive thinking. His polite demeanor and willingness to contribute helps him quickly establish working relationships with those around him.
Apart from having a sound technical hand, he has an excellent grasp of other skills critical to make a student research competent, such as tenacity and excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. Amar has shown immense working efficiency and competitive knowledge and skills in his chosen field by having successfully self-studied 5 major specializations, all completed with Straight A’s simultaneously in his free time during the college. This again makes a strong case for his ability to gracefully handle heavy workload and still delivering optimum results. His 3rd year joint project “Continuum” contained interesting ideas and solutions of problems arising in college grading and student management system. The project provided a unique solution for the students to track all their academic progress at one single place and thus streamlining things for the college management as well. The concept was so impressive that the college management recently decided to adopt a similar system for tracking students’ academic progress, and the production level software is under development for the same. Amar also pursues studies beyond the role of a student. He is an avid, self taught graphic designer who works independently as a freelancer.
How he manages to juggle his entrepreneurial endeavors along with his academic career is beyond me. However, he does both and succeeds. His creativity and flair for design serves him well in this area. He has also been working for social causes through his active long term involvement with Not-for-profit organizations like AIESEC in Delhi University, where he held the role of a “Tech Manager” for a period of 6 months out of the 15 months he spent working with them.Amar has interests in different areas of computer science. With his broad mindedness and strong inclination towards good design, he is able to think in an unusual style and is able to combine methods and ideas from different disciplines.
I am convinced that he will continue to thrive in his studies and will be a tremendous asset to your program. His agreeable personality and enthusiastic ambition will take him far
