In the fast pacing world of business and technology, rivalries within different industries are unavoidable. In order to gain an edge over the others every organization should change as quickly as possible to stay ahead of competition and survival. With accordance to this matter, the proponents will conduct a study to provide solutions to the problems encountered by Company X which particularly focuses on difficulty in having a systematized and efficient flow of transactions.This study will seek to derive benefits that will support the needs of the business to have an easier flow of reservation and accommodation system within the entity’s business cycle. The proponents will use lists of questions in a form of open-ended questionnaires and a face-to-face interview with the base entity’s management. In general sense, the system proposal of the group will give rise to an easier access to the entity’s data with a corresponding high security.The proposed system will promote better relationship between the user and the operating system itself due to its user-friendly design that eliminates difficulty in storing and retrieving data and also to other time-consuming transactions in accommodation and reservation matters.

Years before the reopening of Company X last 2011, it was only a theme park and restaurant back then. On its reestablishment, the management added a pool area and rooms for accommodation, with the latter as the present center of business.It had always used manual data collection in its operations though they have a website in which the costumers can have a view at the place and even book a reservation online. They also offer deals on plane tickets and other things needed for a business trip or vacation. The management uses Microsoft Excel for guest and room monitoring, in every guest transaction, the handling of billing and accommodation transactions still done manually. The management is still using the manual system of monitoring and recording of the guest transactions This results to problems that are currently being encountered by the business entity: 1.

Time consuming processing of the guest/s accounts on the services availed. 2. Difficulty in monitoring of the available rooms at a certain point of time.

3. Tedious manual computation of the billing statement of the guest/s that resulted to erroneous computation. 4. Lack of safeguarding of the guest/s record. 5. Difficulty of storing and retrieving files. The proposed computerized system entitled Company X Reservation and Accommodation System is designed to enhance the Company X business transactions. The system will provide the management staff a user friendly system.

It will further enhance integrity of record management systems of the entity, thus will increase business productivity. Likewise, it will also serve as a guide to the management in choosing available option in the reservation, accommodation and other services to be offered. The proposed system will primarily focus on the improvement of the recording and monitoring of the reservation, accommodation and other services offered by the business entity. Part of the system is the monitoring of the rooms available in the Inn for management purposes.The system will likewise comprise the monitoring of the expenses incurred as well as the services such as tours, laundry and meals consumed for the whole duration of the stay at the Inn that will be reflected in the statement of account of the guest/s .

It will be limited to the guest/s that will opt to be accommodated by the Inn. Billing for dining walk-in customers is also excluded in the proposed system. The data for this study will be generated by a face to face interview between the management and staff of the entity, and the proponents.A letter of request for the conduct of the study will be submitted to the entity signed by the group leader and noted by the subject adviser. After the acceptance of request, the proponents will now conduct the interview at the agreed time and date.

Through this personal communication, it will be possible for the proponents to gather significant information about the process and policies of the entity. The proponents may also use a list of research survey questionnaires to be given to the entity to extract specific information for data analysis.
