Back Ground:  The 2014 romantic drama film,The Fault in Our Stars, was directed byJosh Boone and stared Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, nat wolff, Lauren Dern,and Sam Trammell. The film is based on the 2012 novel that was written by JohnGreen. The film  is about two teenagerswith cancer named Hazel Grace Lancaster (Woodley) and Agustus Waters (Elgort)who fall in love.

The story is shown from Hazels point of view, a 17 year oldgirl who lives a boring life because of her health conditions. She is verylonely until she meets Augustus at a cancer support group. The film coninues totell the difficult parts and the good parts of their love story. Attitudes:        Hazel is smart, selfless, and strong even aftereverything she has been through.   Actions:           Hazels actions change throughout the film. At thebeginning she is very closed off from everyone around her and doesn’t want todo anything except watch reality television or sleep.

However, after she meetsAgustus she becomes more open with people and starts wanting to go out and dodifferent things. Other:             HazelGrace is the protagonist because she drives the story and stays strongemotionally even while she’s staring down her own mortality. Hazelis a round character because people know a lot about her from this film. Theyknow her feelings, thoughts, and details about her. Hazel is a dynamic characterof the film.
